How fast can translators work?

The average amount of words an experienced translator can produce is about 2,000 words per day. This includes translation, terminology searches and checking, proofreading and editing.

What’s the turnaround time?

The turnaround time is estimated based on 1) the level of technicality of the document, 2) the size of the project. We also need time for administration, research and setting up files. However, we commit ourselves to work to a deadline if you have a deadline to reach.

For pro-forma translation of 1-3 page document, we only need 1-2 days.

For standard text translation (personal reference letter, report) we will return the translation in 2-3 days.

For long text more than 1000 words, please call our office directly and we will give you the estimated amount of time.

Do you need to worry about the confidentiality of my document?

To be NAATI-accredited, all the translators are obliged to keep the confidentiality of the document. However, we can sign Non-Disclosure Agreement designed by your company if required.

Can your company send me the translations back in the same format (print-ready files) for a brochure?

Yes. We use many file formats to ensure you have the high quality typesetting service that allow your materials read smoothly and meet local standards.

What should I do before contacting a translator?

Make sure the subject matter, the type of text and the format of the documents to be translated are correct. Estimate the maximum amount of time that you can give to the translators, as most experienced translation are very likely to be busy.

In case of an urgent translation or big projects, we can share the workload among several translators, but this requires extra work of an editor to ensure the terminology and style used is consistent
